I’ve been dared to duct – to dummy up!

I’m known as a chatterbox. I never shut up. I go on and on and on and on. Most common thing I hear is “shut up, Barb!”

If I raise $3,000.00, I will not speak all day on a Saturday in February. I will be out for lunch in public at noon and at a party that evening. I can point, I can nod, I can shake my head but I cannot write notes or speak.

Don’t think I can do it? Put your money where your mouth is. Dollars for dummying up!

I am fundraising for Family Caregivers’ Network Society – a non-profit society dedicated to inform, educate and support the unpaid caregivers of adult family members, neighbours or friends. 80% of the care that a frail or disabled adult receives is done by family caregivers for free. Without us, the BC healthcare system would collapse.

We will all either be a family caregiver, know a family caregiver or need a family caregiver at some point in our lives.

So, let’s do it – support me, support family caregivers.

And revel in the silence.
